The Jager Verein of Fountain Hills Arizona was founded December 16th 1980. The organization was originally made up of Austrian expatriates who had come to the desert of Arizona from New York. Over the years the original members were joined by Americans of Austrian ancestry from all over Arizona.
Members joined the Verein seeking to forge links with the old country through fellowship with likeminded individuals. In 1995 membership was opened to Americans of Bavarian ancestry. The club is a social organization. The clubs purpose is to allow its members to enjoy camaraderie through a similar heritage.
The queen of the Schnitzelbank acts as hostess at our annual Jager Verein Fest. Which this year will take place before the end of the fall. The most important duty of the Queen is to lead the members of the Jager Verein in the singing of our old standby at these events
"Ist Das Nicht ein Schnitzelbank?"
Ladies who are interested in serving as our Schnitzelbank Queen should contact the Jager Hirsch Fest Committee by October 1st
After a hiatus of several years the Fountain Hills Jager Vereine is happy to announce the old tradition of the annual Jager fest is to be reestablished this year.
